We came here after my son has been wanting to try the sold out, super famous chicken sandwiches that everyone has been talking about. I told him to not gets his hopes up considering how popular it is. We came on Saturday, during Labor Day holiday, around 6pm and when I saw the long line, I knew right away that these people are not in line just for their fried chicken. I told my son to stay in line, since my husband is still out looking for a parking spot, while I go up front to make sure that chicken sandwiches are indeed available. The cashier confirmed that they do have it and that it will be a 20 minute wait and a 2 per person minimum since everyone else is ordering it.
There were about 12 people ahead of us and a couple more came right after us. As soon as the couple of customers walked in the door, I immediately told them that they do have chicken sandwiches but there's a limit of two per person and 20 minutes wait after they placed their order.
We placed our order and my son got one of each, regular and spicy and so did the husband. The cashier is very nice even though she looked overwhelmed. We took a seat and waited as the line built up. With our darn excitement, we forgot to order a drink for my soda-guzzling husband. My son always has his trusty water bottle which he can easily refill with more ice and water since the soda machine is outside. I like it when the drinks are outside next to the counter to prevent people taking advantage. I don't like bothering employees for a refill and I rather hold my own cup to get water.
While waiting, I read on the receipt that we can get a free 2 piece chicken and biscuit with a purchase of a large soda as we take a survey online. We do need the code on the receipt. I took the survey and was done in about 3 minutes and got my code. I went back in the long line, which is fine since we still had ten more minutes of wait for our chicken sandwiches and bout a soda. It came out to $3 and some change and we got a free 2 piece (mild or spicy) and a biscuit. What a great deal! They do keep your receipt after you redeem for the freebies but it's good I remembered what number one of our orders was.
The chicken sandwiches are THAT good and more. I like how the spicy part is not on the chicken but on the sauce. At $3.99 a piece, it definitely was worth it.
This is a nice location right inside a shopping complex that consists of Rite Aid, Seafood City, Bof A, etc., but your biggest competitor for parking spaces here are the customers using the laundromat, salon, parents of kids taking karate lesson or people eating at one of their restaurants including Bambu which is directly next to Popeyes.
I do like this Popeyes as it's clean, big with plenty of tables and chairs and the employees are nice. We will definitely be back again. -

I love me some Popeyes, I really do! My go to order is the 3PC tender combo with buttermilk ranch. At this location, the chicken is always perfectly crispy and still has that soft white, meat inside. It always makes me hungry just thinking about it!
The workers at this location are what drag this review down. A number of times my family would order 6 tender combos and would ask for 2 buttermilk ranches per combo so 12 total. The workers are always reluctant to hand out some more sauce and always have an attitude while doing it. I don't understand what the big fuss is on something as small as sauce when we paid $60+ for our meal. Hopefully these workers get an attitude check or learn better customer service skills. -

This location is always busy. They should know by now that they will be extra busy with people on Tuesday wanting to take advantage of their 2 piece special. It seems like they never have enough of the spicy chicken on Tuesdays. When I have purchased larger combos I have come home to find the wrong mix of pieces. If I didn't like PopEyes Chicken so much I would not keep coming to this location.

It's a bummer that almost every single Popeyes I've been to in the area is out of chicken sandwiches but that's fine. Hysterical at the reviews though. If you want a chicken sandwich so bad, buy some tenders and slap a bun on it, or go to Chik Fil A. Always coming here for the number 7 with a large side of mashed potatoes though. Thanks for always fixing my guilty craving!!!
